A walk-in cooler must recover after deliveries and normal door use while maintaining the temperatures required by your own food-safety plan. Slow recovery is not always a refrigerant problem: airflow, coil condition, door seals, loading, and controls all matter.
Record the displayed and independently measured temperatures, when the change began, and whether it follows a delivery or heavy use. We assess the refrigeration equipment and the enclosure-related factors that can keep the system from holding temperature.
Signs it is time to call
- Temperature rises after normal loading and does not recover
- Evaporator fans stop or airflow is obstructed
- Doors fail to close or seals are damaged
- Condensation, water, or unusual icing develops
What the work covers
- Temperature and operating diagnosis
- Evaporator and condenser inspection
- Fan, control, and drainage checks
- Door-gasket and closure review
- Refrigerant-circuit fault diagnosis
- Scheduled cleaning and maintenance recommendations
Protect product before troubleshooting
Follow your food-safety procedures and move affected product to appropriate working storage when necessary. A service appointment is not a substitute for temperature monitoring or a decision about whether food is safe.
